Battlefield 3's first episode of the famous Mythbusters series was released.



After the four episode of Mythbuster for Call of Duty: Black Ops ( Episode One -- Episode Two -- Episode Three + Four ) the first Mythbusters was released for Battlefield 3 with facts and myths about kills and weapons - in high definition.
Ever wondered if you can blind an enemy with an attached laser on your weapon? Or if you can disable enemy C4 explosives? Is it possible to shoot in your own legs? For the answers, watch the video. Battlefield 3 will be released October 27 for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

The UK cover of FIFA 12 was revealed by EA. It's showing Jack Wilshere and Wayne Rooney.


For this year's edition of Fifa EA has chosen the cover stars for the UK version. Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, who already had this honor last year, and Jack Wilshere from Arsenal London can be seen in the picture.
For the German cover, there will be Mats Hummels but the second players wasn't revealed yet.

Activision has confirmed the released date of Prototype 2 in April 2012. Here is the newest CGI trailer of the game:



Prototype 2 will be released April 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, so the epic battle between James Heller and Alex Mercer might end. This game is the successor of Radical Entertainment's open-world game Prototype with the infected Sgt. James Heller as the ultimate weapon.

During ComicCon 2011 a multiplayer beta was announced for Resistance 3 in August. Here is some ingame footage.



Developer Insomniac Games announced this beta for the first half of august. People from North America who have bought SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs were promised early access to the multiplayer beta, meaning early August. For Europe PlayStation Plus subscribers are invited.
Whether there will be an open beta for everyone was not clarified.
The sci-fi shooter Resistance 3 will be released September 6 in North America. A few days later, September 9, in Europe.

An open beta for everyone - even without key - was confirmed by Community Manager zh1nt0 in September.

If you buy the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor, you'll get a key for the beta of Battlefield 3. This beta is a different from the open beta!
First, there will be a seperate beta for purchaser of Medal of Honor, but no exact date were mentioned. Somewhere in August is most likely.
Second, there will be an open beta for everyone interested in September, without key. Community Manager zh1nt0 said via Twitter they "confirmed that during E3 and across all platforms".


Here are also several new details for the multiplayer part, all confirmed by Alan Kertz aka Demize99:

1. Generally bricks are pretty good at stopping assault rifle rounds. We tried .50cal going through brick, it was unbalanced.
2. Is it true that there is lens flare in BF3 for Recon's sniper rifle scopes?
Answer: Yes there is a lens flare on high zoom optics when they are pointed right at you.
3. All multiplayer characters are male.
4. If a vehicle (a tank for example) swims in real life, it swims in game.
5. All health and armor values are universal for all kits. Meaning everyone has the same amount of hit points and run at the same speed.
6. There is a revive animation for a player who has opted to be revived (like rolling around in pain for example).
7. There's a variety of optics with a variety of zoom levels. Meaning optic zoom will be adjustable, like ACOG=4x-2x and regular=8x-6x (This is only an example).
8. The destruction in game is better than in Bad Company 2. Every platform will be taken to its maximum.

The iPhone 5 will not be released in 2011 but the iPhone 4S, as well as an improved iPhone 3GS as low-budget mobile phone.




BGR reported that there will be no iPhone 5 release this year but changes are expected by Apple nevertheless:
The iPhone 3GS will be improved, maybe with an Apple A5 singlecore CPU, and will cost $350 as low-budget mobile phone. For people with moderate income, the iPhone 4 shall be the best choice and for the high-end sector there will be the whole new iPhone 4S. Differences between 4 and 4S are only rumors so far, for example a bigger display from 3.5" to 4" and the new A5 CPU.

Next year for the iPhone 5 there are other possibilities such as NFC, LTE, and the Apple A6 CPU to be one of the best high-end smartphones available.

Markus Persson, also known as "Notch", the creator of Minecraft, revealed the first details of the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft.


At E3 this year Microsoft announced an Xbox 360 version of Minecraft. Although it will base on the PC version, this Minecraft will be a whole new game to play on the Xbox 360. Also Kinect will be used to simulate the chopping down a tree for example. By the way, an iOS and Android version is in developement but PS3 and Wii U is NOT confirmed.

Alan Kertz also known as Demize99 has answered several questions about weapon systems, bullet drop and optics to mount on weapons.



These details Demize99 has revealed about Battlefield 3 and its multiplayer:

1. There is gravity based bullet drop on bf3. Velocity plays a much larger role in how it works though.

2. We added weapon systems the Marines don't use. We'd do the same for vehicles if there's a role the Marines don't fill.

3. There's a large variety of optics for each class. Not all weapons can mount all optics.

4. Yes, it's always visible since it's a balance factor. The sniper basically has to be looking right at you. [about the Sniper Reflections to prevent camping]

5. No, you get suppression points only as kill assists. The guy has to die.

6. It's possible. Not decided now, in discussion. [Question: Is it possible to mount flashlights on pistols?]

A Color Blind Assist option for Modern Warfare 3 was announced by Sledgehammer Games, the game development studio of Activision, so players will have the same chances in multiplayer.



Michael Condrey, Vice President and COO of Sledgehammer Games, has answered a community question about a pissible color-blind mode in Modern Warfare 3. He claims: "Research suggests that as much as 6% of the general population suffers from Color Blindness, or more accurately Color Vision Deficiency. Men (9-12%) are 20x more likely to be afflicted than women (0.25-1%)."

So they implement a Color Blind Assist option for Modern Warfare 3 so you can play even with a red–green color blindness without disadvantages. A lot of players will thank him because not many games have such an option.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released November 8, 2011.

The killing with knives is changed from Bad Company 2.There are also changes in the multiplayer to prevent the sniper camping in BF 3.




In addition: DICE confirmed that there will be NO modding tools in Battlefield 3 due to the complexity of the Frostbite 2 Engine.

The knife:
In Battlefield Bad Company 2 the player was able to kill an enemy with one single stab with the knife. The reward was a dogatag of the killed enemy, a bronze, silver, or a golden one, depending on his rank.
In Battlefield 3 ONLY a direct stab in the back of the enemy causes an instant kill and a dogtag. If you try to stab him in the chest, you'll need TWO stabs to kill him but without a dogtag.

Sniper camping:
Everyone hates the sniper camper. In BC 2 the player couldn't lay down but in BF 3 he can. To prevent camping DICE implements a new feature. The rifle of every sniper, who's laying too long at the same spot, will reflect the light. So if you think you know his location perhaps, you will see his reflection which revealed his exact location.

The open-world-game Mincecraft is only at beta phase but has just passed ten million users nevertheless.



Marcus Persson, founder of the popular game Minecraft, has tweeted the news:

"Minecraft just passed 10 million registered users."

This is no full press release, only a tweet. So we don't know about active/inactive accounts or further details. The game is only during beta phase but has already this huge amount of players, the exact release date is set to November 11, 2011. For people who don't know Minecraft: You can place blocks to build anything you want but the first thing should be a simple shelter because at night monsters come out.
